Changes to the Authorised Agency Scheme - to be introduced 1 September 2009
At a Board meeting in July 2009, Trustees discussed problems with the Authorised Agency Scheme. They have agreed that from 1 September 2009, the Trust will only accept applications via the Authorised Agency scheme from one named adviser with relevant money / debt advice qualifications and experience.

Only this named individual will be able to submit applications to the EDF Energy Trust without having to send in documentary evidence of their client's income, provided they have seen up to date evidence of income and the client is in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
Applications from any other adviser within the organisation will need to be submitted with ALL necessary supporting documentation including proof of the applicant's income. Any application submitted to the Trust after 1 September 2009 without the necessary supporting documentation will be unsuccessful due to 'weak case'.
Joint applications to the British Gas Energy Trust (BGET) and the EDF Energy Trust
Please note, if a client is seeking help from both Trusts, all relevant income proof documentation must be provided as the BGET has ceased it Authorised Agency Scheme.
