Are you eligible for help from any other Trust?

By signing an application form to any trust/fund administered by Charis you give your consent to be considered for funding from any other trust/fund identified and administered by Charis – see details below. The trusts operate within a ‘shared programme’ with a common application form and assessment process. All relevant information needs to be provided to allow for assessment under each trust, as detailed in the application forms.

The aims of the following Trusts, which are registered charities, are to relieve poverty, suffering and distress, particularly among those who are unable to pay charges for the supply of energy/water services provided to premises used or occupied by them. There are no restrictions regarding eligibility to apply, although the Trusts prioritise help to applicants who are clearly struggling to pay their domestic utility bills.

The Trusts provide grants to clear domestic utility debts and other priority household debts and also to purchase essential household items.

Only the account holder can apply for a grant to clear a gas/ electricity/ water/ sewerage debt.
