2005/06 Organisational Grants

Funding focused on three different priorities:

1. Continuation Funding for 2003/04 grant recipients 
Continuation funding offered to:

  • Bristol Debt Advice Centre 
  • Blackfriars Advice Centre 
  • East London Financial Inclusion Unit 
  • Lewisham Citizens Advice Bureau 
  • Direct Debt Line, Polegate, Kent 
  • Truro Citizens Advice Bureau 

2. Energy Efficiency Advice
Trustees allocated funding to the organisations below to address one of the main objectives of the Trust - promoting energy efficiency. Three pilot projects commenced on 1st May 2006 with the awarded Energy Efficiency Advice Centres providing home visits to applicants of the Trust, free energy efficiency advice and implementing cost saving measures within their homes:

  • South East London Energy Efficiency Advice Centre 
  • Cornwall Energy Efficiency Advice Centre 
  • South West London/Kent Energy Efficiency Advice Centre 


3. Follow Up Pilot
The remaining funding for the year was allocated to the following agencies to allow them to undertake exit interviews with clients they had previously helped to complete a Trust application to see how they managed their on-going finances and to offer further assistance if necessary:

  • Hastings & Rother Citizens Advice Bureau 
  • Bideford & District Citizens Advice Bureau 
  • Bristol Debt Advice Centre 
  • Direct Debt Line 
  • Blackfriars Advice Centre 
  • East Devon Citizens Advice Bureau 
  • Brighton & Hove Citizens Advice Bureau 
  • Kensington Citizens Advice Bureau
